Hello, and welcome.
My name is Amy Parsons Ward, and I am a counselor dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s challenges with compassion, professionalism, and authenticity.
As a retired educator with more than thirty years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, I bring both professional knowledge and life experience into the counseling relationship.
I believe healing begins within safe, supportive, and meaningful human connection.
Counseling is a second career and a deeply meaningful calling for me.
Throughout my years in education as a teacher, administrator, mentor, and advocate, I developed a passion for helping others navigate difficult seasons of life with support, encouragement, and care.
My experiences personally and professionally have strengthened my commitment to serving individuals experiencing grief, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, trauma, and life transitions.
Charlie’s Light Counseling was founded from a desire to provide compassionate support, hope, and healing within the community.
Counseling rooted in empathy, safety, and respect.
Working together to support personal growth and healing.
Honoring each individual’s unique story, strengths, and goals.
Charlie’s Light Counseling works with adolescents and adults navigating:
• Grief and loss
• Anxiety and stress
• Life transitions
• Emotional overwhelm
• Trauma-related concerns
• Personal growth and healing
My personal values emphasize compassion, integrity, hope, and service to others. I strive to provide a counseling environment that is welcoming, respectful, and supportive for individuals from all backgrounds and experiences.
Reaching out for support can feel difficult, but you do not have to navigate challenges alone.
